Steve seems to be having "fun" this week, going by the covers. While Civil War II goes on, which are the books you are reading?



Discuss away about all the comics and all Steve and Tony moments (new issues, old issues, all you want to talk about is welcome) and be aware that this discussion may have spoilers for comics you haven't read yet. Remember you can also talk comics on our community chat in the #cap-im-spoilers channel. Let people on the main channel know you'll hang out there and you'll certainly find someone who wants to talk comics with you.

Time for the Community Vote!

Well, it’s been a year and it’s time for another community vote! We're very happy with how the system of event mods and general mods has been working, and we hope you all are too! If not, now’s a good time to let us know.

This year’s vote will be for teyke and navaan only. I (runningondreams) will be stepping down due to some real life commitments (there’s never enough time for everything we want to do, is there?). Just like last year, this vote is for the question of “should we have a general election?” If the community does not currently want an election, then teyke and navaan will carry on for another year (at which point there will be another vote). If the community does want an election, then teyke, navaan and anyone else who would like to volunteer will run for the positions. Either way, we will be looking for volunteers for the third general mod position after this vote is done.

The event mods for the Big Bang and Tiny Reverse Bang will continue to run their events until those events end, regardless of the outcome of this vote.

Voting will open on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 12:00 PM PST and close Saturday August 27th around 12:00 PM PST. Only community members will be able to vote, so if you don’t have a livejournal account and want to participate in the vote, you’ll need to sign up for one. Community membership will remain open until Friday, August 19 around 11:00 PM PST, and will re-open after the voting is finished.

Borrowing an explanation of how this works from a previous mod team:
Commenting will be turned off for the voting post, but please email the mods with concerns or questions. It isn't possible to create a truly anonymous LJ poll, but the detailed results will be viewable only by me (runningondreams), and I will very decidedly not be looking to see who voted which way, nor will I share the information with anyone, including my co-mods. The numerical results will be viewable by everyone.
