Because we are of the stance that there can
never be enough Steve/Tony fanworks of
any kind, and we’d like to see more Steve/Tony podfic and see more podficcers play in our Steve/Tony bingo and other events, we’ve put together a list of Steve/Tony writers who give permission to have their works podficced.
Podficcers, we hope this resource is useful to you!
This is a call to the fandom’s creators! If you have created Steve/Tony works and you are open to having your work podficced, then comment on this post with the following information. You can also get yourself added by emailing us at
cap.im.mod@gmail.com.
(Just copy paste this to the comment box and fill in your information.)
In the permission section you can give a blanket permission (that means you are good with all of your works being podficced) or you can specify that you only want certain stories to be podficced and not others or you could indicate that you want to be asked on a case by case basis. You can come back at any time and tell us to change your statement/status on the list. We also encourage you to put in a fanworks permission statement in your AO3 profile or other fannish platform (like your Dreamwidth profile) so that people know you're happy to inspire creativity in others.
I’m not sure I want to be on the list? What is podfic? If you want to learn more about podfic, check out the
Fanlore podfic article. To quote:
Podfic is an audio recording of fanfic, read aloud by a fan (or several).
If you want to get a taste of it a good place to start is the audiofic archive. They do have a
Steve/Tony tag you can get lost in! There is also the
filtered AO3 tag, which is growing every year!
This list is not
an exhaustive list of all podfic-friendly Steve/Tony writers in the fandom, but a directory of all the people who commented here or emailed us to indicate they are open to have their work podficced.
If you notice any typos/broken/misdirected links, or you'd like to be removed/added from the list, please let us know!
We welcome any signalboosting of this post using the banner above, and if you know Steve/Tony writers who have publicly posted permission statements but are not yet on the list, let them know they can add themselves here.
We'd also like to point you towards rindle's
Fanwork Permission Statements (FPS) List: it's a multi-fandom database of creative people who are happy to inspire creativity in others, and have posted
Blanket Permission Statements to say so. BrickGrass has created a
beautiful script on github that highlights AO3 users listed as having blanket permission in rindle's FPS list in green, so that it's easy to find works that you can transform into other media.
There is also a very long
List of Authors Who Give Blanket Permission to Podfic on Fanlore.
Have fun podficcing and listening to more Steve/Tony podfic (don't forget to kudos and comment). Spread the love!
