Summary (for the fic)  Again, as before, it falls to Steve to pick Bucky up, and carry him out of danger, even if half his heart is still rattling out in pieces on the floor behind him. Steve Rogers just doesn't know how to stay down, even when he desperately wishes he could. But someone has to see to the details, take care of the wounded, sweep the debris, and put the chairs up on the tables before he limps away from the battlefield.

Summary (for the chapter)  In which knowledge does not always bring joy, and the truth doesn't necessarily hurt.

Rating  Previously teen. Now Mature.

Word Count:  For this chapter?  Around 8300 words or so.  Bit longer than usual.

Notes:  This was originally meant to be a coda to the CA;CW movie, but then Tony let me know that we were not hardly done yet.  Fair warning: this story is not intended as a punishment for the members of either team -- expect no bashing of either side.  And if you're interested in a long ride and a slow burn, then  subscribe on A03 to be notified of the updates. Marvel might have written their universe out of existence, but we'll never forget them! On October 16^th (16.10!), cap-ironman will be hosting an Ults day! On tumblr and twitter, we'll be using the tag #ults day. On Dreamwidth, we'll have our very own party post on Ults day!

Wherever works for you, we invite you to share all your thoughts and fanworks about this particular iteration of Steve/Tony! Bring your fic, your art, your recs, your meta and graphics and panels, all in celebration of one of the more memorable versions of Steve/Tony!
