2018 Cap-Iron Man Exchange Gifts unveiled on January 3rd

It’s the ninth day of reveals! Each day we will be revealing the gifts created by participants of the 2018 Cap-Iron Man Holiday Exchange and Community Gifts. Over the next days the creators’ identities will be hidden. On January 4th, there will be a post to guess their identities then on January 6th, we will reveal all of the creators who participated this year. (Remember if you've created a work for the Holiday Exchange or Community Gifts, please remain anonymous until reveals!)

A Happy 2019 to the Cap-IM Community!

We wish all members and followers of the Cap-IM Community across platforms a Happy New Year! The community is busy as always and we want to extend a THANK YOU to everyone who helped us make 2018 an awesome Steve/Tony year.

As you know there is always something going on around here - not least of all our annual fests and events and none of them would be possible without our wonderful active creators and participants, and everyone willing to step up and help! And it wouldn't be half as fun without our active community of readers, commenters, reccers and supporters! Please give all of them a shout out of appreciation, because we wouldn't be here without all of them.

2018 turned out to be an exceptionally busy year for us at Cap-IronMan - some expected and some unexpected. It was an especial pleasure for us to celebrate the community's decade long history and 10 Years of Marvel Cinematic Universe in our double anniversary events that ran from February to May last year. Thank you, everyone who ran with the celebratory events and had fun collecting badges!

In 2018, we spent much time on revisiting on how we distribute information across the community and events and we've continued our housekeeping of tagging and organisational matters behind the scenes. Between the Cap-IM Reverse Bang and Big Bang 2018 the number of creator tags on Dreamwidth rose considerably and we ran into the 1000 tag limit for free accounts. Navaan gave us our first paid Dreamwidth year to make room for more creator and event tags and all mods are going to chip in, but if any of you feel inclined to give the community some paid time/DW points occasionally to help us keep things neatly organized, that'd be very appreciated.

Not least of all, tumblr's recent changes made it necessary for us to address how we'll be using tumblr as a platform in the future (see our Upcoming Cap-IronMan Community & Tumblr Plans post) and led to the implementation of a Cap-IM Pillowfort.

If you’ve made the transition over to Dreamwidth, or are an existing Dreamwidth user, we’ve set up aFriending Meme on the community that's still running and for all who have made their way over to Pillowfort, we invite you to join the Cap-Ironman Friending Meme over there!

What will 2019 bring?

2019 is starting as busy as every year here. Holiday Exchange reveals are still in progress and we're already starting off with our annual Remix fest (sign-ups for the Remix Exchange are still open until Jan 7 and Remix Madness will open on Jan 10) while the Relay chains are already running and the Reverse Big Bang is open no for artists! A new Steve/Tony Bingo round will start soon too.

For the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know and love it - with Steve and Tony - 2019 promises to be the Endgame. In light of that, your mods are planning a small event around April. Stay tuned for more information to be announced soon!

We hope you're looking forward to our annual events! We have a small surprise planned for you this summer and you can expect the Big Bang and Holiday Exchange to return later this year! (See our List of Cap-IronMan Events post for what to expect.)

A Happy New 2019 to all Steve/Tony shippers! We hope for an amazing Steve/Tony year with the help of all of you. We hope to provide you many fun opportunities to challenge yourself, create more Steve/Tony content and meet new fellow shippers!
