Welcome to the new music corner of the Cap-IM community!

Listening to music while you create Stevetony works and making your own playlists to accompany certain fics can be an important or enjoyable part of the process for many fans. We're hopefully going to make this easier for you with our brand-new Spotify account! While you need to sign up for an account to use Spotify, there is a free tier available.

Here's the Cap-IM Comm profile!

A series of public Stevetony playlists have been created to start things off, divided into three themes: universe, event and mood playlists. If you would like us to add another playlist, please either comment on this post with the name (i.e. please can you make a Stevetony coffee shop AU playlist) or email us the same at cap.im.mods@gmail.com.

You can click on the Cap-IM profile directly to see the playlists and subscribe to them so that they appear at the bottom of your left sidebar, along with all the others you've added to your own account.

The playlists are all collaborative, which means that a Spotify user who clicks on any of the links below can add songs. They are currently stubs, and we encourage you to add to them and share your music tastes with the community! If you don't want to add songs directly, you can also comment Stevetony-themed songs on this post and we'll add them to the appropriate playlist for you. We welcome music of all types, in all languages!

When you add a song on Spotify, you also have the option of hopping over to our editable spreadsheet of playlist songs, which also has a column for why you think that a certain song is great for inspiring a certain Stevetony mood! Maybe it was a specific line, maybe the rhythm—whatever it is, we'd love to hear about it! This is also an easy way for people without a Spotify account to see all of the songs that are currently on the playlists.

Lastly, we welcome people posting links to their own Stevetony playlists in the comments as well. It's a great way to be inspired and discover new songs and artists.

Music is an important accompaniment to writing or drawing for some folks, so in this post we'll be looking at a couple of ways to help you get a Stevetony groove on!

If you're looking to make your own playlist, a good foundation of Stevetony songs can be found on Youtube by searching a keyword like "stevetony" and seeing which songs and fanvids come up. You can also look to playlists such as this one and browse for songs that you think would suit your own playlist.

If you're looking for a ready-made, free to access Stevetony mix and you have a Spotify account, you're in luck! The Cap-IM comm has just launched a Spotify account with a variety of Stevetony playlists ready for you to listen and add to. The currently existing playlists are divided into 3 categories: event playlists, mood playlists, and universe playlists. You are welcome to comment on the DW post or email cap.im.events@gmail.com at any time to ask for another playlist to be added to the list!

These playlists are "collaborative", which means that anyone clicking on the links from the masterpost can add songs! You can also comment your Stevetony-themed songs on the DW post and we'll add them to the appropriate playlist for you. While this feature is debuting in time for the end of the RBB, we hope that Stevetony fans use it all year long! It's open to everyone, and we want you to get the most out of it.

Unfortunately, Spotify is only open to people who make an account, but the good news is that accounts are free! You are also able to view the playlists and note down the songs without signing up.

You can also try your luck with 8tracks, which doesn't require an account to listen to tracks. Just type in a search term like stevetony, stony, superhusbands or stony fanmix and you'll find plenty of playlists at your fingertips. However, please note that a song's availability is dependent on which country you're in, so a playlist may end up skipping forward a lot if you live somewhere outside the US or Canada.

Good luck for your RBBs, everyone—we hope you're making good progress.

As always, please get in touch with the mods by emailing cap.im.events@gmail.com or sending a Tumblr IM or Ask if you are running into difficulties, want some advice, or have any questions about the Reverse Bang. We are happy to help!
