2019 Rec Week: Fluffy Thursday!

Yesterday we wallowed in delightful angst, but today it is time to think of all the affectionate moments of happiness and love that Steve and Tony share! A fluffy work can act like a warm hug and make someone's day, so on Fluffy Thursday we're asking for recs to the works that make you feel all fuzzy and smiley inside. What are the most adorable, cutest works you've enjoyed? We welcome recs for fics, artwork, podfics, vids, manips, edits and more!

All New Monday, July 15th: Works posted any time after the end of the 2018 Reverse Big Bang (mid-June).
Artful Tuesday, July 16th: A rec day highlighting fanart specifically! Come and rec all the art.
Angsty Wednesday, July 17th: Bring on all the angst!
Fluffy Thursday, July 18th: Rec your favorite warm fluff works.
Fix-It Friday, July 19th: All fix-its, all day.
Kiss-It-Better Saturday: July 20th: Hurt/Comfort of any kind.
Cap-IM Sunday, July 21st: Rec all your favorite works created for one of the Cap-Iron Man challenges!

There are several different ways to participate:

• Comment with your recs on the themed daily posts that will go up on our Dreamwidth and Livejournal communities. (Anon commenting allows everyone to participate, even if they don’t have an account.)


• Reply to each rec day's Tumblr post that will go up on our Cap-Iron Man Tumblr with your recs.


• Make a Tumblr post with your recommendations, @ the cap-ironman Tumblr and tag it with #capimrecweek within the first five tags on the post. Please include the day’s theme somewhere in the body of the post. On the dedicated day we will reblog posts for the day’s theme on our community Tumblr and later include them in 2019 Rec Week masterlist.

Comment: I love how comfortable with each other they are in this, both busy working, but still literally leaning on each other and communicating.

When Tiny Tony Can't Sleep by Meralasan (MCU)
Comment: What it says on the tin, animated fanart. Incredibly cute, makes me smile.

Like Real Life, Only Smaller (616, 1457 words) by runningondreams
Summary: Tony's doing experiments in the lab when Steve interrupts him with an invitation.
Comment: Completely adorable, with a dash of meta and established relationship.

Try, Try Again (MA:A, 1662 words) by runningondreams
Summary: Steve’s plans usually work out pretty well. This time, though? When all he really wants to do is ask Tony a very important question? Not so much.
Comment: Proposal fic, in which Steve has to let go of a couple of things and be just himself before his proposal goes right. I love that not only does he thank Tony for saying yes, Tony proposes right back. Some wonderful dialogue there.

Heart on My Sleeve (MA:A, 1943 words) by runningondreams
Summary: Tony wears Steve’s clothes. Steve has no problem with this.
Comment: More MA:A adorableness. Again a great Steve POV, his love for Tony comes through in all his thoughts and observations without being constantly spelled out.

Ain't Nothing Black and White by Pookaseraph (Noir, 2.9K)
Summary: Steve hadn't signed up to be a war correspondent with Bucky because he wanted to meet famous people, but he couldn't quite help the pure joy in his heart when he saw the Tony Stark, leaning against one of his armors, chatting with a trim and neatly-dressed woman who could only be Miss Pepper Potts, Mr. Stark's dame.
Comment: Noir that elicits a snigger or two and has some lovely feels, and Steve with hearteyes for Tony—what a treat! (it’s fluff, it has the tag ok?)

The Truest Story Never Told by Veldeia (Noir, 4.7K)
Summary: To pass the time as they wait for rescue in the Catacombs of Paris, Tony tells Steve the story of how he ended up with the repulsor pump.
Comment: This was a gift for me so I may be biased, but it’s so good! The concept is executed brilliantly; each story is interesting in its own right and sends readers to a different sort of scene. It’s sweet and a little sappy in the best way.

Metal and Glass (The April in Paris Remix) by Veldeia (Noir, 1.5K)
Summary: On days like this, he could constantly feel the cold metal sitting heavily in his breast, a chill radiating outwards from it, turning into a bone-deep ache.
Comment: If you don’t believe me, try this one! Repulsor pump-induced hurt/comfort, and a lovely ending.

Honey I’m a Hot Mess by Arukou (No power AU, 17.6K in installments)
Summary: Tony can't seem to get his shit together, but his hot neighbor seems like a responsible adult. Responsible enough to help Tony out of a fix, anyway.
Comment: Ridiculous mess Tony Stark is at his finest without Rhodey to teach him about household chores and adulting: clearly he needs Steve in his life. A classic “they were neighbours and fell in love” fic for an indulgent read.

Beneath the Shining Moon by navaan (616, 1.5K)
Summary: “When I said, we weren't spending enough time together recently, and you joked you'd make time for romantic picnics and sitting out on his penthouse terrace at night gazing at the moon and stars and dream about space adventures,” Steve started with a frown, “I have to admit I didn't see this coming.”
Comment: A picnic date, IN SPACE! There’s a lovely, quiet intimacy to this fic which is delightful.

L☆VE by copperbadge (The Avengers (movies), 3.7K)
Summary: Steve's favorite shirt is at the center of a debate about masculinity, sexuality, and whether or not he did in fact steal it like a thief in the night from Tony.
Comment: The style is excellent for telling the story of how they got there, and there are some adorable and hilarious shenanigans.

Summary: The thing is, Steve is pretty good with computers, really. And yet this whole mess happens because he fails to use one correctly in a small but critical way.
Comment: This is absolutely hilarious, and Steve trolling the internet and the Avengers is excellently done. A great pick-me-up when you ned a laugh!
