Marvel Team Up V3 issues 1-6: IMAGE HEAVY.

This is one of my all-time favorite comics ever, very full of Steve/Tony, but as I mention it in passing to people, I realize it's not all that well known. So, stop me if you've heard this one.

ONE MORNING the Fantastic Four eats breakfast, as they tend to do, and their home is busted in by a screaming cloaked figure:

as screaming cloaked figures tend to do.

Because all attempts of tricking you into believing this is regular business would fail miserably, as I'm pulling it out for selective reading, I'll just cut to the chase, after a grand battle:

HOLY FUCKING BALLS AMIRITE.

IAMRITE.

Tony's beautiful face what happened to it tony

He beats them pretty bad and oh man this is the worst. Just the worst. There's no way it could get any more worst than it

DDDDDDDD:

The power source he detected is a character we'll meet later, who is currently being attacked by the Hulk, and Tony goes to save him!

Wowie, maybe he's not all that bad? He's still a Tony Stark we know at his core, a good and decent

DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD: oh frick no we were right the first time, he is ugly and evil

So he gets the kid (who is a total snot, I'm not sure if any of the scans I'm going to show you properly details it, but he is)

I see you eyeing that phone young man perhaps you are thinking of calling a certain teacher of yours named Peter Parker who you figured out is Spiderman. That would be a wise move.

MEANWHILE X-23 happened to be staring at the right screen when the blip of energy was detected at the mansion. Which leads to:

Der's a fight

JUST THEN
Cap and Natasha are on the Helicarrier and learn about what's happening. Cap's reaction is pretty non-existent, but here's some delicious man meat anyways:

Nnngkjfdgkj look at that back, jesus

lol AND THEN

omgomgomg

lol right to the face, goddamn

SPEAKING OF FACES gkljadgfkl;da

LOL D:

noble last words.

Second favorite page in the whole thing~

First favorite:

A date <3<3<3<3 AAAND that's the end of the first Evil Tony adventure! I was going to include the second one in this post, but this has gotten kind of ridiculously long, so I'll do that like tomorrow or something. : )

Note: This is a lot of scans, but all this was over the course of 6 issues, so I think I did pretty good?

BUT TELL ME MORE ABOUT EVIL!STEVE.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] kijikun.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 06:24 am (UTC)(link)
Mirror!Steve would so think he was doing what he does for the 'greater good'. He knows what's best for everyone. He keeps his friends 'safe', even if it is against their will often, and doesn't understand why some of them have turned against him. Can't they see that his way is the right way?

And well the government was faulty so of course he had to take over, for the greater good not because he wants to rule...

And isn't Tony better off? No more worries about his heart, or his company. Steve can keep him from making stupid rash decisions. He doesn't have to worry about letting people down and he certainly doesn't have to risk his life anymore. Why doesn't Tony see that? Why does Tony resit so? Steve only does this because he loves Tony after all, and he protects what's his. He wouldn't have to keep Tony restrained if he would stop trying to run away...

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] schmevil.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
You and Simmy should both write evil!Steve fics. I've decided it.

He would definitely have to keep Tony restrained. Sometimes gagged too. Tony's difficult that way.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] kijikun.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
Oh he is. And mirror!Steve has to admit there is a certain pleasure of having Tony restrained at his feet as he pets his hair.

mirror!Tony doesn't try to bite him anymore though, he learned that lesson well. And Tony gets more freedom when he's being good, and Tony's learned to use that to help his friends.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] schmevil.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
*nod nod*

So who's still fighting Steve? Obviously Steve would have used his Moral Authority to bring many to his side. Others he would have taken care of.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] kijikun.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
Peter wibbled a lot and on the surface is on Steve's side. Sharon would also be on Steve's side.

Let me see...
Rebels:
Black Widow
Nick Fury
Wolverine
The Runaways
DOOM (for no one put Doom may rule the world!)
The Fantastic Four -- Only Reed and Johnny are left alive, and Reed is a mess over the loss of his wife and children (or maybe the children are in state run school, I'm not sure).
Dr. Strange
Jan
Daredevil
Iron Fist
Jessica Jones
Pepper Potts

Dead:
Sue Richards
Ben Grimm
Rhodey
Dimondback
Hank Pym
Simon Williams
Hulk (?)
Jarvis
Hawkeye
Luke Cage
Jessica Drew

Steve's side (with varying movtives and some are only in name)
Ms. Marvel
Spider-Man
Most of the X-men (Steve has a very good policy on mutant relations)
Namor
Winter Solider
Sharon (though Steve suspects she still has loyalties to Fury)
Cable (though he's mostly keeping to his Island)
Sam
US Agent

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] schmevil.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa. Ben Grimm dead? Truly, evil!Steve is evil.

And of course Doom would be a rebel. The upside to having him as an ally is that he scares the eff out of much of the criminal element, and can bring them onside. Also, he's the second smartest man alive.

I don't know how you'd kill Hulk. Maybe Steve spaced him a la the Illuminati? Nevertheless, you'll want to take him out of the picture.

What about Namor?

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] kijikun.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
It was Reed's fault really, if he'd just seen the error in his ways and the logic in what Steve was doing...Reed only has himself to blame that Ben and Sue are dead.

Hulk is probably spaced a la the Illuminati.

Namor is on Steve's side (as far as Namor is ever on any one side).

I was trying to think of the big power houses Steve would need on his side or taken down but my brain is starting to die on me.

Blackbolt's people are staying out of things. Xavier is MIA (as he often his when people need him).

Steve is very much a villain with good PR. After all he's Captain America, and well isn't this better than having to register (sure there are a lot of freedoms lost but its only to keep people safe...).

Oh slippery slopes.

I need to think of something that set him off. Maybe the death of most of the Younger Avengers or something...

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] schmevil.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
Hercules and Amadeus. Have they met up in this timeline? If so, they're a factor that has to be considered.

T'Challa and Storm are another serious threat.

Magneto, who's status is so ever changing it's largely up to you.

The geniuses. You've got to nail them down. Maya Hansen, Hank McCoy, Alyssa Moy, the Leader, the Mandarin, Sinister, the High Evolutionary. Just know where they are in your universe because they're all game changers.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] kijikun.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
T'Challa can be mostly neutralized through diplomacy (to a point). I don't think he and Storm are together in this universe.

Maya is on Steve's side, if just for the funding and perhaps because of Tony. Where Sal is would be up in the air...he's probably dead - Tony's fault (which Steve likes to remind him so he doesn't get any ideas about running away again).

Given Steve's policies on mutants, Magento will at the very least not be an active threat.

No idea about Hank -- it's hard to see him siding with Steve (maybe at first but not when it's gone this far) but killing him would turn a good many of the X-men against Steve.

Sentry is on Steve's side and probably Ares.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] schmevil.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Maya would be on the side of whoever let's her work towards Saving the World. She has tunnel vision like that.

Hank would only side with Steve if he went Dark Beast. Wait, has HoM happened? If so, then Hank is pretty desperate to reverse Wanda's demutantization. That's a major trigger for him. He got in touch with the High Evolutionary and Sinister over this iirc.

Who else needs to be accounted for... Layla Miller, because she knows stuff. Rachel Summers I assume is in space?

You know what this is? House of Steve. :D

This is actually helping me place some characters in my CW AU.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] kijikun.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
HoM has happened. So, ooh, yeah. Steve would make sure he had all the funding he needed.

Ugh, no idea what to do with Layla Miller. Rachel I almost want to have hanging out with Cable or on Steve's side somehow. I can see the future Summer kids having rose tinted glasses when it comes to Steve. Cable certainly does.

Yes, it's the House of Steve. Poor 616!Steve. He's going to be all D: and I DID WHAT? And oh god Mirror!Tony is going to think everything 616!Steve is some sort of trick or some new mind game to break him.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] schmevil.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
That means some of NA: Illuminati has happened. The skrulls are on their way, baby. Was Hulk spaced pre-NAI?

Also, you could have Steve discovering the Illuminati and going after them. Where has Xavier gone? No one knows. Dun dun dun. He convinced Blackbolt and Namor to stay out of it. He somehow temporarily neutralized Steven (although he's active again in your resistance). Reed just plain got away (smartest man alive, after all). And he captured Tony outright (because he knows ALL the codes).

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] kijikun.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Hell, Tony probably came to him willingly because Tony trusts Steve so damn much. And Tony didn't know what Steve was really planning and he they could talk about this -- and he figure maybe something was controlling Steve.

With Stephen Strange who knows -- though in my head he and Pepper are together in his universe (and lets face it a great many in my head), so maybe she was able to get word to him via Tony to go into hiding. Which might explain how she kept from being killed or captured, if she was in hiding with him.

Nah, no skrulls in this. And Spider-Woman is dead dead dead.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] schmevil.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Authorial fiating the skrulls out? I can dig it. ;)

How did you come to start shipping those two in the first place?

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] kijikun.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't even remember. I think it was something my original co-writer on All That Remains said and it just sort of clicked in my head. They're a good match I think, and hell even Wong/Pepper/Strange works rather well if you think about it.

Interrupting (and I hope it's not taken as rudely) to bring you the message that;

a.) This is amazing, and you have to write it out, because you practically already have.

b.)If you do, and I find it again/you talk to me about it, I WILL FARKING ILLUSTRATE BECAUSE (http://kain-was-here.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2onaiz) I (http://kain-was-here.deviantart.com) LOVE THIS IDEA, (http://kain-was-here.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2q7feh) and would be happy to contribute to the porn (http://kain-was-here.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2rpntp)

I can promise, like, eighty drawings. But probably a couple. This story sounds like everything I dream of. *sings*

c.)this is like a flashback to all those mirror!verse x-over prompts on the Star Trek kink meme in 2009. *flails with glee*

You know it's me, dorky. I like dark, twisted :( fics.

Re: mua ha ha

[identity profile] schmevil.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
True. :) Although I wouldn't call this dark. Steve isn't tortured or anything. Actually, he becomes a rallying point for peaceful (and not so peaceful) resistance to the New World Order. And while he and Tony are on opposite sides, they're actually talking (arguing), so.

Now that I think about it, it's substantially happier than canon...

AU of your evil AU / pet!Tony is just magically delicious

[identity profile] hohaiyee.livejournal.com 2009-06-08 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I need to think of something that set him off. Maybe the death of most of the Younger Avengers or something...

I can see a smaller story, told through the eyes of Tony, about what the world is now, and how it fell to this, told in pieces. Then we flash back to now, and then when Tony finally make contact with someone other than Steve, everyone is shocked, because Tony had died.

...and present Tony is either a clone or an LMD or someone stolen from another universe who doesn't know it, having been kept in isolation.

Or, broken!Tony is kept as a pet, but Steve wasn't the one who broke him. Instead of Registration, asking supers to sign up to be at the government's service, the government went the other way. Stamford didn't happen, instead, the New Orders accidentally uncovers the skrull invasion on live tv, swinging public opinion to the side of the superhumans. The government instead, get the supers into the lab by convert means.

Tony Stark is 'disappeared', and by the time the Avengers found him, he's very physically and psychologically broken. Tony can't use his extremis anymore, though it still automatically heal him, something the sadistic guards had took advantage of. With some public support, Steve overthrows the elected government after the scandal comes out, and keeps Tony as a pet.

Like, story told through Tony's narrative, he's in Steve's room, and he overhear conversations Steve has outside, a harsh contrast to how gentle and patient Steve is with Tony because Tony is now broken

Pepper Potts stood to her full height, and grind her heels into the carpet. "Steve, you can't just keep him hidden away like this, he needs professional help."

"I don't think he needs anymore people poking at his head."

"It's not like -"

"He was shaking, the moment all of them started looking at him. I'm the only one he's comfortable with right now."

"You don't have the time he needs."

"Every free moment I have, I spend it with him."

This needs smut, lots of smut?

[identity profile] hohaiyee.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
What did Steve do when Tony try to bite him? I'm thinking tying him up, teasing him, and denying him. That's how you break someone like Tony, I think the restraints would definitely be very breaking for someone like him.

I can see it now, Tony being kept in a glided cage, cut off from the world. The room is always warm and the carpet is thick, which is good, because he's almost always naked, and on his knees, because his wrists and his ankles are strapped, in soft strong leather. Throughout this timeline, Tony is gradually cut off from the world, until all he has is Steve, and he watches Steve gets further and further from the Captain America he grew up learning about.

Tony watches the boyscout get angry, have a fight with Sharon and threatens to shoot her the way he shot Bucky. He scurry out of the way and try to hide behind the sofa, but Steve drags him out, thrashing futilely as Steve closes around him, holds him close and rocks him like a doll. Steve sometimes rant, sometimes murmurs, sometimes sob, and Tony does nothing because he's bound and gagged.
