*flails* My one not-actually-a-problem with these shots is that Chris Evans is so cute and precious that I can't find him sexy/hot because I'm too busy wanting to squish him and ruffle his hair.

I know what you mean. I'm sometimes too busy flailing and wanting to give him a hug to appreciate how gorgeous he is. But he's just so adorable that I can't bring myself to mind that.

Cap looking yummy in full uniform. Cap still having WWII haircut which I really like. Sexy motorcycle and leather jacket! Is the Tony with arm over Steve's shoulders moment IC or OOC (ie: is this a Cap/IM moment that we might even get to see live-action in the film, or is this a picture that will maybe inspire RPF?)? Is awesome either way.

I must admit that I actually occasionally have trouble finding these two hot, though, because I get too distracted by Chris Evans being adorable to ogle properly (the urge to give him a big, pitifully platonic, hug can be stronger that the urge to stare at his arms and his ass and his pretty pretty face, at times), and RDJ, much as a like him (and he is both awesome and perfect for the role of Tony Stark, I fully admit), has occasional moments where in certain outfits (usually when he has his hair slicked back, and I notice this never happens when he is rocking the lab grunge, only in suits) looks slightly like one of my uncles (which is momentarily really disturbing, but then in the next shot he looks nothing like anybody I'm related to? so I think it's the lighting, and maybe the whole goatee + slicked back hair thing plus him having a show-off-y moment that is reminiscent, and not any sort of facial similarity, thank heavens. but to make matters worse, the uncle who used to have a goatee is a bit of an ass, moreso in recent years than when he had the goatee, when I was younger. it does however support my theory that Tony's mom was Italian, because if an actor who is perfect for the role resembles, even momentarily, a man who is half Italian himself... well, that lends credence to the idea that the character himself could work as one who is also half Italian. although the surname Stark means that Howard was probably English or maybe German, not Polish. Hm...).

Erm... ignore that last paragraph. I'm just rambling and having strange theories again. The last time I did that, I ended up signing myself up to analyze Steve's in-movie medical history in depth and propose medical treatments for him in the 1930s and 2010s. Also, this is really, really making me want a leather jacket of my own. I am seriously becoming tempted to, once I finish my degree, be one of those people who uses part of their first paycheck from their first full time job to celebrate their full time employedness by treating themselves to something that they've really wanted for a long time but couldn't justify spending the money for before, and buy myself a nice leather jacket. (Why am I so easily distracted? I'm sorry. Please just ignore my strangeness.)

Sadly, the arm-n-shoulder stuff between them is just Chris and RDJ, because on the other side RDJ is holding hands with his wife.

Well, darn. I was hoping it was in-character. Because OOC, it's definitely an adorable sign that the actors playing two character we like very much are actually friends (yay!), and don't just play friends on TV! But IC... well, Steve and Tony being cute on screen would have been awesome, because they are supposed to be besties (I know I ship the characters, but they have to be friends first, imho, for it to work) and I'm afraid of them being written as not getting along. But it's still nice to see evidence that Chris and RDJ are good friends for real, and don't just fanboy over each other's acting without getting along personally. It's nice to see guys who are not so prickly as many (not all, but too many in my opinion, at least in my part of the US) are about the whole this is my space and not even my friends can bend my personal space bubble thing, too (I mean, if I see a friend in person who I've only had contact with by phone etc for months, I'm going to give her a real hug, but there are too many guys who feel that they have to instead do that silly man-hug thing where you basically face each other and smack each other on the back or some such nonsense, which has always seemed a little silly to me). Also, I kind of wish the picture was more zoomed-out, then, because I find it adorable when couples hold hands while they go places, especially if they're just sort of nonchalantly holding hands while one or both are chatting with some friends, like their hands just sort of naturally found their way together unconsciously without them even noticing.

In short: Damn. Glad Chris and RDJ are friends. But I want to see adorableness like this with the characters too, on-screen.

For what it's worth, I trust Joss. Cap and Steve have obvious differences, but that makes them fun characters to watch build a relationship. He's said any of that Civil War type of tension will come off as witty banter in his Avengers. Plus, they already have a connection through Howard, so I think that'll help. (I just imagine Tony taking Steve and Thor to a strip club or something.)

RDJ and Susan are my real life OTP. They're always so cute in interviews and he's always so touchy. (Now probably because of the baby he'll be even more so.)

I... mostly trust Joss. Well, I trust him to say what he means and mean what he says. I don't trust him not to throw in twists that I may or may not like, or feel the need to kill characters who lack Plot Armor (which, luckily, my favorite characters in the upcoming film probably all have... I think) even if well-liked for reasons that are in no way apparent to me. Also, the idea of Tony taking Steve and Thor to a strip club is hilarious. Yeah. He seems to be a very hyperactive person, and I think she keeps him grounded. During the Golden Globes when he was backstage with the press, he responded to a question in that charming but haughty Tony Stark way, but then pauses, looks off stage at her and goes, "Now Susan is looking at me like, 'Why are you being such a prick?'" before going into the real, non-snarky answer. It's very cute.
