Everything Left Unsaid

Steve's body may be as old as he is now, but Tony still loves every inch of him. Even his wrinkly, low-hanging, old-man balls.

Set after Steve gets old in Captain America (2013), but ignoring any mind-wipe issues. Just fluff.

Sometimes the cause comes after the effect. Sometimes the beginning is after the end. Sometimes honeymoons follow divorces and marriages come after both. Steve and Tony may be doing everything out of order and backwards, but given the way the universe is unfolding, can you really blame them?

Set immediately after Avengers Vol 5 Issue 30. Obviously will vary wildly from canon for every issue after.

Tony Stark is dating the amazing, wonderful, attentive Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America. Only problem is, Tony Stark is AKA Iron Man, AKA crime-fighting partner of Steve Rogers AKA Captain America... and Steve doesn't know it. Tony Stark thinks it's for the best: Steve likes knowing his boyfriend is out of harm's way. Janet van Dyne, on the other hand, has a wholly different opinion on the matter. And the determination and strength of will to make her opinion the right one.

Tony is irritated that Steve's first hug-and-fly wasn't with him. As the source of many of Steve's other "firsts", Tony has a brilliant idea of how he could take one more. Specifically, Steve's first time being fucked by a machine.

Tony overhears Sam use the word "Bro Job" during an argument with Izzy. This gives him the bright idea of a role-play scenario he could act out with Steve, harkening back to the foolish beginnings of their relationship.

In the early days of the Avengers, Steve catches Iron Man watching some of his old films--and sleeping, while watching them. This kicks off a series of not!dates between himself and Iron Man... and somethings that maybe are not-not!dates between himself and Tony Stark. Flash forward years and years, and Tony's still got the same reaction to Steve's old films (that is, they're his virtual warm milk before bedtime).

A/N: Based on this post where several different users discuss Steve Rogers’ expression first coming out of the super soldier machine.

Tony knew since he was seven years old that he's rotten on the inside. He was born rotten, and he'll die rotten. By the time he forms the Avengers, he thinks maybe that's okay: maybe everyone's kind of rotten, and what matters isn't who they are, but what they do.

And then he meets Steve. And Steve's not rotten. Not even a little bit.

In a cyberpunk dystopia, all the wealth is concentrated in New Versailles and the majority live in impoverished ghettos outside. Prosthetics are strictly prohibited, though many of the poor have bodily modifications to help them live. Steve Rogers is an idealistic young man who raids the storerooms of New Versailles with his best friend Bucky Barnes, to bring food and medicine to the poor. But when tragedy strikes, Steve is inspired by Dr. Erskine to go seek out the notorious slumlord/black market trader Tony Stark. Rumor has it that Tony used to be a member of New Versailles, but left to make his fortune off the backs of the working man... or maybe he was kicked out? Although they don't hit it off at first, Steve and Tony must work together.

They have some help. The Three Fates are women who control information. Steve's friends from his old life are good people on the fringes of society because of their prosthetic enhancements. And there's Tony's network of resources and connections, not to mention his brilliant engineering mind that helped him build his empire.

But when Steve and Tony finally manage to put their differences aside and rise up against New Versailles... not everything is as simple as it seemed.

Steve and Tony sneak away from the Avengers Christmas party to celebrate in their own way.

Steve's been in the 21st century for about a month now, and Mr. Stark has something he wants to show him. When Tony reveals the Captain America memorabilia room, Steve expresses his gratitude.
