It’s 1814 and Captain Steven Rogers joined the army to provide for his adoptive sister Miss Jamie Rebecca “Becky” Barnes following the death of their parents. Although she’d prefer to run away to join the army too, instead she decides to do what will guarantee to bring him home and provide for both of them: marry.

Steve and Tony are in a secret relationship. An unfortunate encounter with Tiberius Stone, just as Steve decides to talk to Tony and clear things up, makes things complicated.

Steve has worked in the field of preserving supernatural wildlife for as long as he can remember. He split from SHIELD years ago, but when Fury approaches him with a rescue mission that goes beyond anything they've ever done before, Steve knows that he can't turn a blind eye to it. Those animals need his help, and if he has to go undercover again to save them, then he'll do it gladly.

He never expects to find what he does, a half-man, half-tiger who seems to understand him and yet pretend to be an animal. Steve knows that even more than any of the other animals in this illegal zoo, this man was never meant to belong in a cage. There's a fire in his eyes that tugs at Steve's heartstrings and makes him want to help in any way he can.

No matter what, Steve knows that he won't rest until this man is free.

“How are you doing?” Steve walked up to Tony, who was sitting at one of the lab’s tables.

He sighed, thinking. "I don't like this. I don't like the not-knowing."

“Yeah, I don’t like it either. I keep looking at Nat and Clint and Sam…” He swallowed. “And, and even you, and all I can think about is how you guys could be dead, but still standing right in front of me."

Sometimes superheroes save the world. And sometimes they're too late.

Captain America's longtime villain Superia had a plan for revenge. She stopped the Avengers from ever finding Steve in the ice, tore the Avengers apart, and turned the world into her own personal authoritarian dystopia. A team made up of Captains America from across the multiverse came to set things right: they united all the remaining superheroes, took down Superia, and made sure the world would find Steve again.

Tony spent Superia's hellish reign as her prisoner, a suicidally-depressed disembodied brain trapped in a jar for years on end, begging the Avengers to kill him and put him out of his misery. The Captain America Corps instead gives him his freedom, a brand-new body, and even the Avengers -- including his very own Captain America. But Tony's not entirely sure he wants to be here. He's walking wounded, and he thinks some wounds are too deep to heal. He thinks there's no chance the Avengers will ever be what they could have been. He thinks there's no way Steve will ever be the friend and partner he could have been on so many other worlds.

Luckily for Tony, Steve happens to disagree with that.

Following the events of the Avengers movies, Steve and Tony find themselves at odds when the team fractures and fights amongst themselves. The two had feelings for each other before, but this rift may be too big to overcome. Then the snap happens, and things go from bad to worse. Tony tries to move on when he comes back to Earth, but Steve wants to keep fighting, and years go by without a word to the other. When the team decides to work together again, will it be too late to mend their relationship as they try to save the world yet again?

When fifty different animals appear out of nowhere in the Avengers Tower, Tony thinks finding them a new home will be a piece of cake. He doesn't take into account how much it affects him to see Steve being so cute as he takes care of them, of course. Neither does the possibility of falling head over paws in love with a puppy cross his mind.
