Those are the only coherent words I can really form. Everything else comes down to weeping over Bucky. The poor boy.

Ahem, on a more coherent note - I particularly loved:
Wingman Natasha
Steve's list of cultural media recommendations
Steve/Sam bromance
Steve/Natasha friendship
Steve/Bucky flashback
'Best girl' Peggy
Natasha teasing Steve about kissing
The moment Steve recognised Bucky
Fury being Fury
Sam - 'I do whatever he does, only slower.'
The return of the original uniform
The fight sequences
The action scenes
Falcon flying
Maria calling Steve by his name
Steve refusing to fight Bucky
All the heartfelt words Steve uttered to Bucky at the end
Bucky rescuing Steve
Bucky visiting the Cap exhibition at the Smithsonian
Oh, and finally...
STEVE!FEELS!!!
BUCKY!FEELS!!!

"who the hell is bucky" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
NATASHA!!! NATASHA AND STEVE BEING FRIENDS!
BUCKY CATCHING & THROWING THE SHIELD AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
(also "Stephen Strange" are you kidding me YES PLEASE)
and the after credits scene THE TWINS

Uh, LOVED it. I especially loved how, I don't know, friendship oriented it was, like there were jokes about Steve's love life (or the lack of), but it didn't have a romantic sub-plot. Instead it was about Steve and Natasha being cool and Steve and Sam being fun and about the Steve/Bucky feels and so on.
I liked how the bad guys were mostly Americans and from inside SHIELD.
God I loved Steve and Bucky's last fight scene and Steve falling and then Bucky dragging him out of the water.
I loved the actions scenes and how they really showed Steve's acrobatic and hand-to-hand skills.
What I didn't like. Well, I wondered why they say 'heil' (in the Heil Hydra) like English speaking people say 'hail', when it's German and should be 'heil' with the diphthong sounding the same as in word 'bye'. These things get to me.
I'm just really happy the movie delivered, because Steve's my favourite.

I knew the movie was going to be good but even I didn't expect it to be this good, it instantly became my favorite movie!

I LOVE that they only had Nat/Steve friendship, and that Agent 13 wasn't overused. I hate Agent 13, she is a character that could be SO COOL but she's just used as Cap's girlfriend and that pisses me off.
I did find it slightly weird that they didn't try to contact any other Avengers for help, most of all Hawkeye. But then again, we don't know much about what has been happening there in between the movies. Them not being contacted in IM3, get it cause he was supposed to be dead, Thor, they were in London, but this was about SHIELD. SHIELD! And also in DC.
As a comic reader I am probably reading way too much into it, but it still didn't quite fit for me. But Bucky was amazing, so I am willing to let it all pass me by. Cause.... Bucky <3 And Falcon <3

- Fury's car chase. Man, his pimped up Fury-mobile (in theory) was all kinds of awesome, and he drove like that with a broken arm. Bad. Ass.
- Steve visiting Peggy. Broke my heart. Steve, you sweet, wonderful, goober. "My best girl still owes me a dance." *heartface*
- I want to know which guy Peggy ended up marrying! I want
- Falcon was perfection. I loved every scene he was in. The whole "I do whatever he does, only slower" was the actual best. I love that they addressed PTSD through him, and dealt with it respectfully. I love that he thought bringing Captain America to his place of business would convince a girl to like HIM. :D
- Black Widow and Maria Hill. Bad ass ladies being bad-ass! When that posh British World Security Council lady started kicking butt, I was thrilled! It was almost a let-down that it was Natasha, but then again, of course it was. :) I loved that Hill got a bit more screen time. I loved that Natasha wasn't reduced to a love interest, and we got to see her grappling with the morality of the spy business.
- I really enjoyed Robert Redford. He came out of hiding, lent his big name to a "silly" franchise, and played the bad guy. I was really surprised. I thought it was a genius move.
- I was heartbroken that they'd use Sitwell like this. Only the really hardcore fans knew about him, and he was out before he hardly got in the door. Boo. It could've been anyone but him.
Argh, so many things and I still think I've left out something even more amazing and important. I loved the whole thing, start to finish.

Hah! Me, too! I was all on board with some Helen Mirren RED-style action.
I was heartbroken that they'd use Sitwell like this.
Yes, again. When I came out of the theatre I wailed, "Sitweeeeeell!" D:

(Anonymous) 2014-04-03 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)Also am I the only one who thought steve looks like gonna cried even when he tried to smile while he's visiting peggy because peggy's sudden "sometimes remember him, sometimes not and thinks they just met again"...
And I was kinda wait, that annoying senator stern from iron man 2 is hydra member!...
There's a lot stark name dropping and stark/avengers tower blink and you miss it cameo!... brucey and doctor strange name dropping!...
Steve and everyone is also BADASS!!!... I swear the girls sitting next to me, while they watch the movie with their boyfriends, all squeal in delight watching that scene with steve wear his white tank top at falcon's house, which I'm perfectly understand, since chris evans looks hot and huge in those!...
Kinda wish it is not actually sitwell and actually LMD with one of zola AI pose as sitwell...
About clint barton, I read an article elsewhere after I watch the movie that we should notice a scene when right before cap, falcon and maria breaking into shield, there's two shield agents who mentioned that hawkeye apparently is still in afghanistan by that moment? I dunno if it's true, I need and already plan to watch this movie again for the second time this weekend!
And yes, even as steve/tony shipper, I have to admit that this movie did bring a lot for steve/bucky shipper (that last heartfelt moment when steve said he'll go with bucky to the end). it's okay though, since I love steve/bucky bromance and I'll just keep wishing for the avengers age of ultron to fulfil my steve/tony moments quota instead!

Jasper, nooooooooooooo!
I'm not sure what to make of Natasha's story about coming up against Winter Soldier in Iran. I'm a Natasha/Bucky shipper, so I'm hoping for their comics 'verse shared background in the Red Room, but I'm never sure what will make it into MCU. (And I get why Sam doesn't have a real bird in this somewhat more "real" universe, but I miss that.)
There was a big laugh in my theatre when Stan Lee showed up and found the naked Cap dummy. :D

Phrased slightly more coherently, is SHIELD legitimately being taken out of play? Is Agents of SHIELD going to be like... The Ex-Agents? (IDK, I'm not very crafty with names.)
My full reaction post is here: http://enmuse.livejournal.com/141970.html in case anyone's interested. Very much loved the movie, though. Still need to sort out what I'll actually file into my MCU headcanon since the movie wrought major changes that totally screw with various fic plans I have. I don't want to ignore everything in this film, though, because unlike IM3, the material they gave us to work with is pretty awesome.
Anyway, I also Accidentally Meta-Fic'ed by way of dialogue as Tony meets up with Sam and Steve post-film. (http://enmuse.tumblr.com/post/81711066120/spoilers-so-i-wrote-a-dialogue) Yes I am plugging myself.
I need fic now.

Fury's tombstone! Fury's car! Fury's extra retinal scan!
Sam being so incredibly awesome!
Natasha kicking ass and releasing names!
All the Steve and Bucky feels!
Batroc Ze Leapair!
Was anybody else squeeing over the necklace Natasha wore through most of it? It has a little arrow, and the possible nod to Hawkeye just gave me the warm friendship fuzzies.

LOVED the portrayal of Falcon
Did not love what they did to Sitwell, but.... LMD? Hmmm... He DID seem awfully wooden for the most part...
As an aside, did anyone notice all the targets the third helicarrier was bringing up before it blanked? I'm going to get the DVD just so I can go through that bit frame-by-frame. I am sure I saw Stark Tower with a single target picked out in the penthouse...

(Anonymous) 2014-04-27 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)Unless there's a clairvoyant inside SHIELD whos able predicting and printing about howard's death, I'm guessing here the crew of CA: TWS pick that picture of young howard to remembrance for the actor who play howard in CA: The First Avengers or for the audience who already saw that first Cap movie but haven't saw Iron Man's and not familiar with john slattery's howard...
