“They think we’re together romantically,” Tony hissed in Steve’s ear as he stepped in close to tie a gold sash around his wrists. “Just go along with it.”

Tony keeps running into this Cap fellow on his missions in Europe. Why does it seem like he knows Tony personally?

As the cold of night sets in over the Canadian wilderness, the Marvels team are lucky to find a small cabin in which to shelter.

Problem is, there's only one bed.

Tony went looking for a stiff drink and some company for the evening as soon as he’d made it out of the mountains. Half a year working for Fury and Tony couldn’t put Latveria far enough behind him.

“Mr. Stark, you really didn’t need to do that.” But of course he did.

When Tony's rescued from the clutches of Nazis, the last person he expects it to be is Captain America. After all, Cap always made his hatred for Tony obvious.

Then he finds out who it is under the cowl.

Captain America meets (rescues) Iron Man.

He strode to the door, ready to give Fury a tongue-lashing. “I’ve already told you, Nick, I’m not gonna join your damned Avenge—” the last word petered out into silence as he gaped at the man in front of him.

It’s the Brille Kabaret, it’s after midnight on a Wednesday, and Steve is slightly tipsy. He's waiting for Byron Ironsides to show up.

This one is definitely going in Marvels: A Magazine of Men's Adventure. As soon as they've recovered from their unexpected flight.

Steve Rogers is the new cover artist for Marvels: A Men's Magazine of Adventure, and Tony maybe kinda thinks he's cute.

The Iron Man is a very small ship; it’s really only equipped to sleep two. Somehow the five of them manage.

Tony and Captain America are stuck in a cabin when their jeep dies during a snowstorm. The situation would be better if Tony wasn't so annoyed with Cap.

There is a folder on his desk with art for Marvels. Pepper hasn't said anything about it, but the one she has sorted to lie on top is probably the best thing he has seen in years. The name attached to it is “Steve Rogers” and it's not the last time that he comes across that name.

Tony searches high and low to find Steve.

Drawing Tony Stark as the adventurer who fears nothing and no one, the hero of Marvels, has never been a problem for Steve. But there’s something about Tony in his quieter moments, when he’s standing still just long enough for Steve to try and read him, something that Steve can’t quite decipher.

Adventurer Tony Stark and his faithful chronicler Steve Rogers camp out under the stars, just like any other night on the job. But this night doesn't end the same as any other night.

The year is 1942, and Tony Stark is racing against the clock to get his hands on a magical artifact. It's just his luck that the artifact throws him into a whole different universe, where he meets a familiar face.

Tony has been obsessed for months about rumors of a mysterious soldier who consistently pulls off extraordinary feats of courage for the Allies. He thought he had a good lead, but now Tony's lost in the forest and a scary beast is following him.

Turned into a werewolf while investigating Doom in Latveria, Tony disappears into the European wilderness. He's half feral, with the wolf in him slowly beginning to override his human sense. He's lost and alone, desperate for someone to help him.

“What do you mean, go look for Captain America? He died during the last Great War.”

Fury has a strange job for Tony Stark that involves following the last steps Captain America took before he went MIA in World War I.

Being left behind as the trainee chronicler sucks, but at least it means that Captain America's missions are unimpeded.

As Steve twirled his glass, the swirling champagne bubbles evaporated as quickly as his own enjoyment of the party. He hated the food, he hated the company, and he hated that Tony was flirting with somebody else.
