I am as curious as awlays and I was wondering what kind of fanfiction cliché/trope you prefer to read. I guess a cliché or a trope can be a certain situation that is used in more than a couple of fanfictions and that comes directly from situations from the different universes (comics, movies etc.)

For example, I have a special preference for the classic "Steve doesn't know that Tony is Iron Man" and I adore also the "Steve and Tony goes on dates but Tony doesn't know they are dating".

Title: "Days of Future Tony"
Author/Artist: patheticfangirl
Universe: Marvel 616
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None
Beta: theworldisacorner (via tumblr)
Word Count: 7781
Warnings: References/illustration of previous major character death.
Summary:
Post-Avengers Prime fic. Iron Man and Captain America have trust issues. These get discussed while they work undercover, but when Steve finds out that Tony's been keeping a different kind of secret (a certain confession), it could lead to romance or to the destruction of the world.

Title: The Error In Translation
Universe: movie!verse, but really non-specific
Pairings: Steve/Tony
Warnings: none, no spoilers. just lots of me rambling.
Summary/Notes: This is a Tony/Steve mix, told from both perspectives. The whole concept is that Tony and Steve fundamentally misunderstand each other because they come from such different cultures, represented by the music of their times.
