Multi-verse and Movieverse

I'm new to this fandom since the summer, so I came to the fan fic from the various movies.

But I've been reading like a maniac. So now I'm wondering. Did the actors - RDJ or Mr. Evans - or the writers or directors or anybody - talk about whether and how the characterizations in the movies were influenced by the various possibilities out there in the comics canon? There's a pretty big range from Marvel Adventures to Ultimates. Point me to interviews/articles? I'm really scared of watching interviews, but I would for this information.

First of all, I didn't make this video nor do I own it or know the maker in person or anything, I just stumbled across it on tumblr. Since, while it may be short, it projects Steve/Tony angst so wonderfully and hurts so right, I decided that it doesn't get enough attention it deserves and (seeing that no one has yet done so) posted it here .
