Cap/Ironman Remix 2018 works unveiled on Feb. 18

It is time for today’s Cap/Ironman Remix works to be unveiled! Come and see what all our remixers came up with!

Every day we will reveal two fics from this year's Captain America/Iron Man Remix Exchange and one relay work for each of the four Captain America/Iron Man Relay Remix chains, so usually six works per day. Remixes will remain anonymous until after everything is revealed, so please keep from revealing what you created until creator reveals on Saturday, March 3rd.

We have a discussion and guessing post up for everyone to discuss remixes, remix techniques, discuss their lingering remix ideas, share recs and guess creators on Dreamwidth and Livejournal! If you're adventurous, try your hand at guessing which relay work is a remix of which other relay work in the chain, because we’ll be publishing them out of order! We’ll reveal the chains in the order of creation when creators are announced.

Steve and Tony have a moment on the Quinjet, and then everything goes to hell in a handbasket.

Fight It Out (Private World War Remix) (616, 6852 words)
Tony tries to hold things together after Steve dies on the courthouse steps. But grief isn't the end of his troubles. Steve comes back to life before/during World War Hulk and he and Tony are set against each other in the arena.

“I’m looking for my husband,” Steve says quietly, and it’s a struggle to keep his voice level.

“That’s a waste of time,” Tony responds dismissively.

“You aren’t him.”

Tony tilts his head at Steve, moving a few paces closer. “No, I’m not,” he answers. “Not any more. Your husband was a fuck up. He was weak and pathetic and overly emotional.”

Scraping Up the Pieces (MCU, 2786 words)
A few years after CA:CW, things are almost back to normal. Team Cap is back stateside, they've rejoined the Avengers, and they're all working with one another – even if it's sometimes not all that comfortably. Steve and Tony aren't back together, but at least they can be in the same room at the same time without it ending in a fight. Most days. A rough mission puts Steve in a bad place, and Tony – who's in a bad place of his own – goes to check on him. Steve needs to feel something that isn't pain, and Tony needs to give him that.

Public Enemies (The Secret Lovers Remix) (616, 2900 words)
“They have a video of Steve and I. Together.” Tony pauses and hopes Maria won’t make him explain further. A quick check confirms that it’s already on YouTube. In one-point-five minutes, it’s going to be trending on twitter.

Cap/Iron Man Reverse Big Bang Second Claims!

Cap-IM 2018 Reverse Bang is now open for second claims!

This means that if you haven't claimed an art yet, but want to take part, you now have another chance to claim!

Claims will be assigned on the first come, first served basis, however for the first two hours we will only be accepting claims by the authors who have not claimed artwork yet.

In two hours, we'll open for double-claims: the remaining artworks will be available to be claimed again even if you've already claimed an art.


The two works per participant rule still applies! You can't participate in the second round if you submitted two pieces of art, claimed two pieces already, or both submitted and claimed a piece in the first round.
